Early on, when Pentium Pro was King, Coyote Point's founders saw the need for intelligent application traffic management. The goal was to create network infrastructures that work all day, every day, no matter what, and they wanted to use a box instead of fancy software.
Not exactly easy, but they were up for the engineering challenge.
What began as a sketch on the back of a placemat became the framework for a multi-armed Internet routing system. Less than two years and 15 iterations later, that Pentium Pro was pumping through 100 megabits. It was the birth of the industry's most agile, intelligent cluster-management suite.
As one of the first traffic-management pioneers in Silicon Valley, Coyote Point grew and prospered as (larger-and-better-known) others failed. By the end of the 90s, Coyote Point had a growing roster of satisfied customers.
